Fundamentals of the practice “Microcosmic Orbit. microcosmic orbit

This is a very effective and useful practice.

✔ Firstly, in cases of an excess or decline in energy, in a certain energy center(chakras) you balance.

✔ Secondly, this is the main exercise for working out (pumping) your energy channels.

✔ Thirdly, due to the fact that you "drive" energy through certain channels, you change its structure - getting a new quality of energy.

✔ Fourthly, you learn self-control, and we all remember that the essence of any practice is aimed at self-concentration and awareness.

The essence of working with the Microcosmic Orbit is to direct the Qi energy in the body in a vicious circle. All other techniques are simply improvements in ways of attracting other energies in order to improve and increase the circulation of Qi in the Microcosmic Orbit.

1. Sit on a chair or cross-legged. It is important to keep your back straight.

2. Put right palm on the lower abdomen, put the left on top of the right.

3. Now focus first on one part of the body, then on another, and so on, to consciously cause them to relax. Start with the left foot, then the whole leg, then the right leg, and so on until you reach the neck, face, eyes, and finally the top of the head in succession.

4. Feel warmth in the center of your abdomen.

5. Now, with an effort of will, "Push" this heat through the pubis, to the center of Muladhara, then begin to raise the heat through the coccyx (as fire rises) up the entire spine, through the back of the head, direct the heat to the top of the head. After that, start lowering the heat through the interbrow (as if water is flowing) along the outer part of the body, along the face, neck, chest, flowing down to the starting point in the center of the abdomen, feel how the heat again accumulates under your palms. See photos for a better idea.

Peculiarities.

1. For a better idea and feeling of the trajectory of movement, ask someone to stand on your side, and run their palms first from the stomach down, with the other palm from the bottom up along the spine, without lifting their hands to the starting point. Close your eyes and repeat the sensations you just evoked. Helps a lot.

2. Over time, learn during this exercise to pinch / squeeze the genitals and anus, and rest the tip of the tongue against the upper palate just behind the teeth.

3. Align the trajectory with the breath. Inhale - move from the center of the abdomen to the crown, exhale, drain from the crown to the center of the abdomen.

4. Don't get hung up on details - spin the orbit, regardless of breath, slowly or as fast as possible 1 breath 1 revolution or 36 revolutions.

Don't forget about right exit from any meditation practice. You can use the practice of exiting the alpha state.

Exit from alpha state. Mentally say - "When I count to five, then slowly come out of my state, feeling fully conscious and better than before. 1, 2, ready to open my eyes, 3, I open my eyes, 4, 5, eyes open, mentally say -" feeling fully conscious and better than before.

Malaya space orbit naturally controls all channels in the body, as it consists of two main channels in the body. The posterior median meridian runs along middle line back and is called the control channel. All centrifugal meridians are connected to it, along which energy diverges to the periphery of the body. Conversely, the anteromedial meridian runs along the midline of the anterior side of the body and is called the conception channel. Centripetal meridians flow into it, along which energy is drawn from the whole body and flows into the main energy channel.

Rice. 24. Small space orbit (general contour)

The rhythm of the movement of energy in a small cosmic orbit sets the speed and fullness of the flow throughout the body. The flow diverges from the center line of the back and gathers towards the center line of the abdomen and chest. It is important to restore the natural circulation of energy in a small space orbit. This will allow you to immediately move on to the intentional and controlled development of the quality of the energy itself and the structure of its movement. By itself, the control of the orbit creates the necessary conditions for development.

Movement in a small cosmic orbit, when the flow moves up the back and neck, and down the face, chest and stomach, contributes to the development of yang energy, so this direction is natural for a man. For a woman, the rotation of the orbit is different from the male version if she leads an active lifestyle. The strong development of Yang energy without strengthening the Yin base causes increased excitability in a woman. Stress causes you to burn energy in excess activity and excessive emotions.

There are several variations of the orbit especially for women, allowing you to strengthen the natural yin energy. The more correctly the work with the Yin base is built, the more opportunities there are for strengthening the Yang energy. But then it will occur without damage to its own structure. On the contrary, a woman creates for herself additional conditions for development. When you orbit reverse side, this allows you to streamline the Yin energy without its exorbitant buildup. At the same time, the Yang energy does not "burn" the natural basis of femininity.

Rice. 25. Reverse direction of energy flow in a small space orbit.

The balance of Yin and Yang energies is achieved by working with both channels, which form a closed circuit of a small cosmic orbit. The posterior median channel has a yang nature, but the reversal of the flow makes it possible to distinguish in it the yin quality of slowing down the spread of energy. On the contrary, the anterior median channel has a yin nature, and the reversal of the flow gives it a yang quality of optimizing processes that draw energy to a single channel. The selection in each of the channels of qualities characteristic of the other links them into an integral system. It sets the rhythm of the body's pulsation, keeping the continuous expansion and contraction within the given limits.

You can describe the same process in a slightly different way. The posterior median channel is yang in nature, and the anterior median channel is yin. However, the reversal of the flow contributes to the transition of each of the energies into its opposite. Yin is born in the Yang channel, and Yang is born in the Yin channel. Accordingly, each of the channels finds a natural continuation in the other, although it is significantly narrowed. The passage of energy of both qualities through an integral system of two channels causes it to either expand or contract. This sets the rhythm of the pulsation of the whole body.

The end of the preparation period is determined simply. Having learned to feel the flow of energy when the orbit rotates in the opposite direction, at some point a woman discovers that the energy itself begins to flow backwards (according to the “male” version). This often happens spontaneously during the "yang" period of the menstrual cycle. You may be doing a thread reversal at this time intentionally. It is then that a woman has the opportunity to use any "male" practices.

Energy will always move where it should move by itself, so if there is a clear trend, it should not be hindered. It is necessary to consciously direct energy only to initial stage when you need to streamline the chaotic movement or overcome the hampered movement of energy. Once the flow is established, you can use it as a basis for further work with the entire structure.

It is convenient to associate the movement of energy with breathing and the rhythm of alternating accents at work with yin And yang. Inhalation corresponds to the Yin quality of filling, and exhalation corresponds to the Yang desire for manifestation in the outside world. A woman is advised to combine inhalation with lowering energy down her back, and exhalation with raising energy up her stomach and chest. When there is a change in the direction of the flow of energy, the work with breathing will also change.

The second difference in the rhythm of practice is the duration of the movement of the flow along the front and back sides of the body. The combination of direction, effort and attention should begin for men in the yang posterior median meridian. A woman proceeds in her concentration from the Yin anterior median meridian. The reason is that the posterior median meridian is aimed at developing the energy structure of the body, and the anterior median meridian is aimed at enriching it. The first is more important for a man, and the second for a woman.

Ideally, the heart rate is 60 beats per minute and one respiratory cycle. However, this ratio should be carried out naturally, and not by force. Few can boast of full-fledged breathing, in which one inhalation-exhalation by itself stretches for a whole minute. In this case, the transit time of energy in the orbit for women is 40 beats on the front side and 20 beats on the back. For men, as always, the opposite is true. This difference is explained by the fact that a woman needs more time to collect energy than to unwind, and a man - vice versa.

If the named ratio is not available at all, it can be reduced in the appropriate ratio of 2:1 to establish a rhythm. But it's better just not to associate the orbit with breathing yet. In the first variant, the inhalation down the back of the body is half as long as the exhalation up the front of the body. It is available at almost any natural rhythm. In preparation for stretching the respiratory cycle, pay attention to the relaxation of the abdomen, on which the movement of the diaphragm depends. In other words, sometimes it makes sense to return to the very beginning of the preparation period - general relaxation.

Even the best practices will remain unclaimed raw materials for enlightenment if we do not have the power. As don Juan said, strength is needed even to understand what strength is. It is for this reason that a lot of advice on how to start the practice remains only good wishes. People cannot even hear them... Lack of strength is due to bad karma. Gaining power changes karma. Enough strength and intention to from a representative of the consumer society, which is just right to put a label there were Pepsi and Cola, become a spiritual seeker.

But where do you get the power? After all, if it does not exist, then it is impossible to even understand what it is ... Everything would be very hopeless if we did not have the ability to change karma simply by our intention.

What is lack of power? First of all - negative thinking, a tendency to shift responsibility onto someone and refer to circumstances. It is the pursuit of immediate needs. animal existence. A complete rejection of romance and an ardent focus on the lack of money.

And here we are waiting good news. Any karma is illusory, i.e. plastic and can become different at our choice. In the same way, thinking can jump from the level of groans and accusations of politicians to the level of achievement and search.

Often, the accumulation of power is understood as some sort of taking it from the outside world with the aim of placing it in internal energy reservoirs. If we use the example of production, and imagine a person as a manufacturing enterprise, it is like unrestrained purchases of everything and everything: machine tools, raw materials, stationery, electrics and plumbing. As if tomorrow the work of all transport arteries of the country will stop and all this will no longer be found on the market.

Such a policy only leads to overstocking of the warehouse.

In the same way, in an effort to accumulate more energy, you can turn into a “warehouse” bursting with it from the inside. And there are not so many techniques aimed specifically at obtaining and “storing” energy, which is quite logical.

One must strive not to accumulate energy, but to purify the consciousness and internal system energy exchange. And the beginning should be connected with throwing out everything superfluous and interfering, and not with trying to contain more energy.

Reject list method

First of all, it is necessary to give up everything superfluous that interferes and even turns the adept into a walking anecdote. Very many people who were once members of clubs and sections of self-improvement did not notice how at a certain moment they turned out to be the whole friendly team in nature. But not in poses for meditation, but at barbecues, with vodka, salad and similar joys of life. The joke is that just yesterday they could declare themselves supporters of nutrition according to Ayurveda and vegetarianism. They also talked about subtle energies, pranayama and chakras. Either there or there...

If you are not going to give up meat and alcohol yet, then you are at this stage of development. And you still have no reason to refuse.
However, make a list. And in this list, include everything that holds and blocks your energy.

Alcohol, tobacco addiction, gluttony, a tendency to fall into anger, the desire to mean, sycophancy, acquaintance with bad people, debauchery (according to your own subjective estimates), talkativeness, inconsistency, etc.
Anything that comes to mind that you yourself want to include in the refuse list. And refuse.

It is enough to quit smoking and reduce the tendency to reasoning, as there will be more energy. And, at the same time, breaking will begin. You shouldn't be afraid to experience it.

In fact, giving up something bad is not so difficult, as the mind draws. Half of the difficulty is that we perceive such a cessation of smoking or alcohol, drugs, gambling and similar phenomena as an incredibly difficult event.

Please note that in my words there is no hint of propaganda healthy lifestyle life. The image of your life is in your, but not mine, hands.

Everything is simpler here ... We need energy. I'm talking about the fact that for this one should not rush to "take" it from space. First, let's try to throw off the ballast. Our habits hold a lot of energy. This dropping the ballast in and of itself can be a great spiritual adventure. There is only one rule: we release the energy that was fettered by some kind of negative habit and direct it to creativity and self-improvement. So you can solve any issue that narcologists and psychologists quite rightly consider not just difficult, but almost unsolvable - smoking, giving up anything.

Big purge and deep overhaul

At the suggestion of such remarkable minds as Timothy Leary and Aldous Huxley, tens of thousands of people began to strive for expansion of consciousness. Although in fact it is completely incomprehensible why to expand such consciousness. Sometimes it seems that when some expand, it will be just right to send out a space patrol to save the universe from such a disaster. Consciousness needs to be purified, made capable of perceiving the most subtle vibrations, and not expanded.
We need a cleansing, and as a method we use breathwork. Consider two simple ways… One of them originated among the Tantriks, the other belongs to the qigong culture. Both methods are effective and greatly increase the ability to feel the power.

Ajapa-japa - spontaneous awareness

This is a method of observing your breath and connecting its natural sound with a mantra. As a mantra we will use "So-Ham". It does not have a direct translation, but there is an interpretation - "I am THAT".
  1. We take a suitable posture. Sit with a straight back. The head is slightly "suspended" by the top of the head, the chin is tucked up. The shoulders are slumped, but the armpits are empty. The tongue should be placed in the alveoli. Place your hands freely on your hips.
  2. We watch our breath. Track your natural breathing for 5-10 minutes. From this, it can become either a little slower, or a little more noticeable. So be it, but do not manage it in a special way.
  3. Now gently focus on the area two fingers below the navel and the area around the jugular notch. Just mark these two points and mentally draw a line between them. Now there is no need to try to visualize something there ... It is enough to realize that this line exists.
  4. Direct your breath into this line, watch how the inhalation goes from the navel to the throat, and the exhalation from the throat to the navel. Try to feel and hear how it moves there.
  5. Connect the breath with the mantra "So-Ham". Let the sound "So" correspond to the inhalation, and "Ham" to the exhalation. Now the mantra walks inside you along this line and accompanies the process of breathing. At the same time, prana also moves. At the moment of inhalation, it rises, at the moment of exhalation, it descends along the anterior median canal.
  6. Enjoy it for 30-50 minutes.
At this time, you are cleaning the so-called anterior median channel, or the projection of the main energy axis onto the front of the body. Characteristically, this channel is known both in the tradition of Indian tantra and in the tradition of Chinese qigong.
In its entirety, work with this mantra is more complex, it includes several stages and varieties. But now we are just beginning to reconfigure the energy body. Together with the rejection of just one bad habit- this can already give a lot, a lot.

You will see for yourself how clean your breath will become and how sensitive. As a result of the practice of ajapa-japa, the psyche becomes more resistant to any changes and fluctuations. One of the names of this work is spontaneous awareness. An excellent and centuries-old vibration begins to sound in the energy body.

Small space orbit - first acquaintance

The retuning process can be improved by moving the breath along small space orbit. In the tradition of Tao philosophy, man is seen as part of the cosmos. IN Western culture space is usually understood as something that begins outside the atmosphere. The Chinese, on the other hand, believed that space was a model. Man himself was represented by the universe, which is in space, and not just on Earth. Therefore, inside a person, they found exactly the same orbits that are in outer space.

Imagine an oval that is inside you. These are the connections of the point of the crown and the base of the perineum with two lines - going in front of the body and along the spine. The line runs somewhere just behind the skin. If we place the tongue on the alveoli (close the "magpie bridge"), then we will get a connection of two meridians.

Let's focus on the same point, which is two fingers below the navel. It is called the Lower Dantian. Inhale... The energy comes out of the dan tian and tends down to the point at the base of the perineum, and from there up to the top of the head. On exhalation, she goes to the starting point. The circle closes and becomes endless.

Energy can be visualized as a glowing ball. This ball does not hit the spine, all the work goes on a tangent ... You can control the ball with your breath, you can only think. Soon enough you will begin to feel some tingling, movement and excitement in the body. Ignore them, keep practicing. Ideally, it should last as long as possible, or not stop at all.

Both practices are devoid of direct, explicit or imagined accumulation of energy, qi or prana, in some area. First of all, we began to work at the level of purification and harmonization of the internal processes occurring in the energy body. The effect may be the most unexpected. The most significant will be a general rise in energy tone and an improvement in the ability to understand. Including intuitively... In the future, we will consider in more detail both ajapa-japa and work with qi, which is called the Small Cosmic Orbit.

Without strength, cultivation practice is impossible. Much of the power is captured by our own bad habits. We can give up every habit, throw it overboard, thus releasing the energy we hold onto. This process must be combined with the cleansing process of the energy body. This is possible by bringing rhythm and vibration into the natural process of breathing. As methods, you can use - Ajapa-japa of tantra and the Small Cosmic Orbit - the practice of qigong.
The first effect of the cleaning and restructuring practices is observed quite quickly - after 3-4 months of regular classes.

This is a circuit that connects the two main energy channels of our body - the Control Channel and the Functional Channel. All other energy channels connect with these two, receive energy from them and bring it to the internal organs, just as electrical wires coming from the main energy line carry electricity to individual houses and apartments.

Control Channel- this is the main yang channel of our body, it starts in the perineum, passes through the sacrum, goes up the spine up to the neck, reaches the top of the head and goes down the face to the upper palate.

Function Channel- the main Yin channel - also starts in the perineum, but goes up in front along the midline of the body. After passing through the sternum, it enters the throat and ends at the tip of the tongue.

When you touch the upper palate with the tip of your tongue, you close the Functional and Control Channels into a single circuit and enable the energy to move along the Microcosmic Orbit.

Microcosmic Orbit - main practice, allowing you to establish a connection with the earthly, cosmic and universal forces. This meditation is a way to connect with the violet light polar star and the red light of the Big Dipper - the most powerful healing universal radiations. This practice helps you learn to feel the Chi energy and use the power of your mind/eye/heart to direct the flow of Chi through the primary energy distributed in your body. This meditation eventually included also the movement of the energy flow inside the arms and legs, and therefore was called the Microcosmic Orbit.

This little-known meditation called "Microcosmic Orbit" is aimed at healing the internal organs and promoting health.

Microcosmic Orbit Benefits:

  • maintains the balance of all organs and systems of the body
  • promotes healing from diseases
  • is disease prevention

Time:

Practice this meditation at any time to allow the energy to flow freely through your body.

Preparation:

Read the description of the meditation practice carefully so that you have a clear understanding of the contour of the microcosmic orbit.

Meditation Practice Microcosmic Orbit

1. Sit on a chair with a straight back, put your feet on the floor on the whole foot. Calm your mind and breath. When your mind is calm, pay attention to the navel. Imagine a cavity filled with energy in the navel area. If possible, try to feel this energy. Use your imagination to direct this energy down to your perineum and then up your back to your tailbone.

2. When you feel the energy flowing along this path, imagine it rising up to the junction of the ribs with the spine, and then as the energy continues its way straight up to the base of the skull.

3. As the energy passes through the base of the skull, press the tongue against the palate. Then visualize the energy reaching your crown. Now focus on the point between the eyebrows and send the energy from the crown down through the point between the eyebrows.

4. Let the energy pass between the eyebrows, then through the palate and tongue to the throat, and then to the heart. Bring the energy down to the solar plexus and then to the navel. Repeat the entire cycle as many times as you like.

5. End the meditation by confirming to yourself that your organs are healthy and full of fresh energy.

On the Microcosmic Orbit there are 14 energy centers, each of which is responsible for the nutrition of certain organs and affects emotional sphere. The openness or closeness of these centers determines our interaction with the outside world and with ourselves. For example, the Hui-Yin point (perineum): the openness of this center is characterized by a feeling of solidity, grounding, solidity and peace, leading to a sense of security within oneself and a sense of security in relation to external changes. If this center is closed to the passage of qi, the person is afraid of change. Or take the heart center. If it is closed, we may feel sorry for ourselves, whom no one loves. We may feel overwhelmed, deceived, and alone. The worst feeling is the feeling of being useless and unworthy. When the heart center is open, there is an everlasting feeling of joy and love, respect and happiness. We feel truly connected to the whole world. A feeling of gratitude comes, which is the catalyst for spiritual work.

Learning to move vital energy in orbit, you will be able to maintain its uniform flow, i.e. from areas with excess qi to direct it to those areas of your body where there is not enough energy. However, the benefits of the Microcosmic Orbit extend far beyond facilitating the flow of chi and include preventing aging and healing many ailments, from high blood pressure, insomnia and headaches to arthritis. After all, the orbit passes through all the endocrine glands, nourishing and balancing them, which most dramatically affects the quality of your physical and psychological health.

Question: What is qi, or electromagnetic life force?
Answer: Qi, otherwise known as "warm flow", kundalini energy or "electromagnetic life force", is very difficult to describe because this energy or life force cannot be seen. We can, however, feel this life force in our body. For the ancient Taoists, qi was represented as a void at the top. Chinese character and fire at the bottom, so that the definition of qi could be taken to be the concept of “non-fire”. More modern Taoist sources describe many types of qi. There is the primary natural qi, the one that we breathe in, as well as the qi that is transformed in our bodies, and that which awakens from the sperm or ovaries and is called "ching-chi".

Jing Qi, the main source of energy in our practices, is eventually transformed into spiritual energy. From the moment of conception, we all have chi energy. The Taoists teach us that life force, or qi, "begins" as the energy we get from the food we eat and the air we breathe. By doing Taoist practice, we bring into play many other energy sources that are located in various energy centers of the body - in the heart, in the adrenal glands, in the prostate and pineal glands, in the pituitary gland. There is also another kind of energy that we take from solar system, mixed with other types of energy and converted in our body into other types of qi in a process called "alchemy".

Taoism emphasizes practice and theory; philosophical reasoning and discussion are considered useless. With just the method of relaxing and concentrating on your navel, you can experience for yourself what the flow of qi is like.

Several of my students have spent 5-12 years trying to develop chi and open the Microcosmic Orbit, but to no avail. After a brief interaction with me, they achieved their goals in one to four months. They all found this method easy and natural. Spending only 30-60 minutes a day on this, many of those who developed their energy soon came to the conclusion that they were all dreaming or their imagination was acting. And yet, when they practiced, they felt warm, and soon noticed how much healthier they became.

Question: Should I sit in a chair?
Answer: We recommend sitting on a chair. For most, this is the most comfortable position; it is especially good for people with back or leg problems. It also helps qi to flow freely into the legs. Many people believe that if you take the lotus position, you will feel more rooted and gradually become more flexible. In fact, even if you have completely open energy channels in your legs, then sitting in a lotus or half lotus can affect the free flow of energy and thus slow down your progress.

If we compare the head with the roots of the tree, through which we can absorb the energy of heaven, then we should compare the legs with branches and leaves, which means that they are also very important for practice. When you reach top level practice, you will learn that the soles of your feet absorb yin energy from the earth. Sitting on a chair facilitates the movement of energy to the soles of the feet. When qi circulates only in the upper part of the body and does not go to the legs, this means the leaves wither and fall off the tree. If the energy is not flowing to the legs, then no matter how well you practice in the upper body, you will feel a significant lack of energy and simply will not be able to function normally. When qi circulates through your legs, you will feel lighter, you will walk straighter and be able to walk longer distances without any fatigue.

The use of a chair is also important for another reason. To be able to properly absorb energy, a man must allow his testicles to hang down freely. As you advance in your practice, you will open 6 special channels and the flow of energy will flow into your legs. Sitting cross-legged makes energy management much more difficult, although some people claim that when you have mastered the ability to collect your energy, you will be able to control it in any position.

I know many monks with leg ailments, although I won't insist that they are all caused by sitting cross-legged for too long. If you know how to channel energy into your legs, you will have fewer problems, but since sitting cross-legged requires more effort, this position is neither wiser nor more effective. Since at one stage in your development you absorb energy from the ground through the soles of your feet, which necessarily implies that your feet are flat on the ground, the best position is of course the sitting position.

Question: What should I do if during practice a man gets an erection, and a woman's vagina swells?
Answer: When this happens to a man, his testicles may feel as if they are vibrating; perhaps a small eruption of the seed, accompanied by a feeling of tightness in the prostate gland; the Huiyin point can also vibrate. A woman may feel that her vagina and nipples are swollen.

When you can properly practice and collect energy, it will naturally flow down to the organs of reproduction and arouse sexual desire. To overcome this, shift your point of concentration back to the Ming Men point, and then move it up into the head, to the point located between the eyebrows. I have many male students who have erections after practice and must seek relief in sex. Some of these students stopped practicing because their sexual desires were too strong. If, however, you can control or stop your sexual activity for a while, or convince your spouse or your spouse to understand or practice with you, then you will achieve success in this practice much faster.

Question: Will circulating energy through the Microcosmic Orbit solve my problems?
Answer: It will help those who are impotent, who ejaculate too quickly or who have wet dreams. When they concentrate for a while, they may experience pain or "widening" in their back. This can cause erections and may lead to nocturnal emissions or loss of semen during urination.

When you concentrate, you are actually conserving and storing vitality, which first descends to the organs of reproduction, which increases your sexual desire. However, if you can keep these vitality, then your total will benefit significantly from this. I am not afraid to say that the weakest are pursued by lust.

Those suffering from impotence should stop all sexual activity for a period of three to six months until they feel they are getting stronger.

To practice and gain some energy and then have an erection and immediately go to have sex is just to lose everything that you have earned so hard during the practice. When you gather the energy and complete the Microcosmic Orbit completely, your body will become stronger and only then will you be able to enjoy your sex life.

Question: Is Taoist practice suitable for everyone?
Answer: Generally speaking, it is suitable for everyone. But those who are physically handicapped or suffer from mental or emotional disorders should be careful in their practice. In the Taoist system, we train the body first, then the soul, and then we venture into spiritual development. Taoism treats the body like a boat or a ship. A perfect body is a good ship, and good soul- It's a good engine. The spirit is considered a diamond that we want to ship to its destination. But if you do not have a good ship and a good engine on it, you will not be able to deliver the diamond to its destination. Some people don't pay attention to the body and only seek to protect the diamond, but the diamond will sink in the sea before it is delivered to its place.

In the Taoist system, as in other systems, one should begin with strengthening the body. Thus, it is unlikely that you will allow your offspring - a young, growing spirit - to wander in dangerous and unknown lands.

When you open the 32 channels, the soul and spirit will have room to travel within the body. As you progress, you will learn how to train your soul, how to mix the body with the soul. Unite them with the spirit and train them so that the spirit also enters into this new mixture, then gradually the dangers of the practice will decrease.

Question: Can a woman practice during her period?
Answer: Women who are troubled by their menstruation should interrupt the practice for this time. Those who bleed irregularly should not concentrate on the Guanyuan point, located 3 inches below the navel, because the ovarian energy center is located there. Instead, they should concentrate on the point between the eyebrows and on the "gate of life" (Mingmen).

Question: Should I concentrate on the "third eye"?
Answer: Concentrating on this point, you should be careful. The energy tends to flow upwards, and if there are obstacles in its path, perhaps because the sky is too thick and qi is difficult to pass through, then it rises up and opens the Baihui point at the top of the head with its pressure. This may cause it to flow out of the head for a while, this may raise the pressure in the head. Therefore, young people strong people puberty, people with high blood pressure, and people with mental disorders should not concentrate on this point.

Question: Why do some practitioners get back or shoulder pain during practice?
Answer: I have many students who experience pain or tightness and pressure in their back after concentrating for some time. It depends on the condition of the practitioner's body. Many young, healthy adults who exercise regularly find that when they sit and the energy rises up their back, piercing through the spine, they feel like they are being stabbed with needles. The reason for this is that this channel has been cluttered for a very long time. If you just relax and concentrate on, say, the Mingmen point and don't pay attention to how the energy goes, then it will make its own way up.

If you help or force this process in any way, you will become nervous and uncomfortable, and the energy will get stuck in your back, causing pain. When the energy reaches the Zaji point, just concentrate on that spot. Then let the energy continue to rise from the upper back to the neck and then to point number seven, Yuzhen, or the small brain, which includes both the brain itself and the cerebellum.

Try to concentrate on this energy center, and when the energy finally rushes up to the Baihui point, you will feel free and very comfortable, and the pain, tightness and discomfort in your back will disappear. Sometimes, it seems, the energy can not go along the spinal column, but escape from it, and then you will not experience such discomfort and embarrassment.

Back pain in the elderly and debilitated
When sick or elderly people suffering from diseases of the lungs, stomach, liver, heart or other organs concentrate for a while, they may experience severe pain in the back and shoulders. In the affected areas, there may even be sensations of heat or cold. Keep in mind that concentration activates the natural process of healing. Any hidden and past diseases of these people will come to the surface, so they will hurt them again, as they did in the past.

Question: Can people who have undergone craniocerebral surgery practice?
Answer: Taoist practice helps people who have undergone operations of any complexity to recover their health faster. However, after practice, they may experience pain at the incision sites. This is actually a good sign, indicating that the energy is healing the cut from within. When the pain disappears, it means that the wound is completely healed. You may even have had surgery a very long time ago and no longer feel pain, but if the energy starts to flow, it will draw your attention to the exact place where the pain was.

Question: Why do some people experience ringing in their ears while practicing?
Answer: This can happen when the energy rises into the brain. Energy can vibrate in the bony substance of the inner ear. Practitioners react differently to this. Some people like it because they think it's a sign of their progress, while others think something is going wrong and are afraid of it. If they can calm down and start swallowing saliva, this will help them keep their Eustachian tubes open, which will equalize the pressure on both sides of the eardrums and make them hear more easily.

They should then relax their head and back and bring their attention to the Ming Men point, allowing the energy to flow into it from the head. After that, after feeling some relief, they can end up moving their attention to the navel, concentrate on it for a while, and then mentally rotate around it or rotate with one hand, first 36 times clockwise and 24 times counterclockwise (for women, the directions of rotation are opposite). By doing this, one can also feel that all the energy is collected at this point. Remember also that energy goes where the mind takes it.

Question: What to do if after some time of practice you lose your appetite?
Answer: Some people claim that after concentrating on the navel and then on the Mingmen point on the back, their appetite improves. They eat well and their bowel function improves. After the energy rises up the back to the head and reaches the Baihui point, they may report difficulty in breathing, loss of appetite, and bowel problems. This happens when the energy is blocked and not returned to the stomach properly. Be patient and bring her down as described above, drink more water and eat more fruits - all symptoms will gradually disappear. Do not forget that if after the end of each session you direct the energy to the navel, such problems do not arise.

Question: Why, after practice, some people twitch convulsively, take yogic postures and make various sounds?
Answer: Concussions are not so unusual phenomenon, they have a beneficial effect on the body, as they serve as some kind of internal exercise. It is known that focusing on just one thought can stop them, and if they get too violent, you can stop them simply by telling them to stop. I do, however, advise everyone not to avoid concussions, because some benefit can be derived from them. To invoke them, one must either pretend to shake or concentrate on the navel, breathing in as if breathing into the stomach and through the back. If you continue to inhale as long as possible, you will begin to shake. To stop these tremors, simply command them to stop and breathe normally.

Shaking and twitching during practice are caused by nervous and mental problems latent in the mind. Some highly suggestible practitioners only need to read about something for the same thing to happen to them. Some shake according to some logic: if they move their left hand in a circle 36 times, they right hand also makes 36 revolutions. For some, this is very scary.

As qi, or energy from the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, fills the organs, specific reactions take place, manifested in the form of “shaking”.

1. The heart governs the veins and arteries. The qi of the heart causes the body to jerk up and down like a playing monkey (this shows that the meridian of the heart is full of qi).
2. The liver controls the tendons. When it is filled with qi and qi, like a fish, joyfully flows into the ocean of divine ecstasy, the thumbs and toes can convulsively clench.
3. The spleen controls the muscles. When it is filled with qi, they jump like birds jumping from branch to branch. The location of the spleen is represented as fire, as the vital qi of the spleen moves around this place.
4. The lungs govern the skin. When they are filled with qi, you will feel tingling, itching and warmth all over your body, as if ants are crawling on you. This is especially felt on the face. This is due to the movement of the vital qi of the lungs.
5. The kidneys govern the bones. When they are filled with qi, you hear the sounds of moving bones. Moving along the spine like a snake, qi sometimes causes sexual arousal.

If you shake too much, the energy dissipates and doesn't move in the Microcosmic Orbit. Shocks send energy to the tendons, muscles, arms, legs, and internal organs, which is good for those who want to strengthen all of these. I recommend that students sit for half an hour, shaking for 5-10 minutes, and then stop and focus their attention on the flow of energy. Concussions can be intentional or unintentional. They knead the human organs, thereby helping to concentrate and clean the qi channels.

At the very beginning of the practice, when the student has not yet discovered the Microcosmic Orbit, I usually advise that he should not allow himself to be shaken. If you make your energy flow on your own and if you just keep track of everything that happens, a lot will happen to you automatically. This is very good exercise to relieve tension and stress.

Question: How does Qi affect a diseased body?
Answer: When the energy reaches the diseased organ, it surrounds that organ. If you have kidney problems, for example, you should feel the energy moving left and right around two points. If you have problems with your stomach or intestines, the energy will move towards your stomach and your body will shake. People with heart conditions will find that the energy is located around the heart. When people with heart or liver problems begin this practice and suddenly find it difficult to breathe and tightness and congestion in the chest, they may think that the system itself is bad and want to stop the practice.

I've had several students who had exactly this problem. They went to doctors who were unfamiliar with Qigong and the Microcosmic Orbit and who assumed that the practice of "meditation" was the cause of everything. In fact, this energy “pierced” all existing “blockages”. They started practicing a long time ago, sometimes they felt their heart palpitations and shortness of breath, but they never paid attention to it.

It was only when they ventured into something new in their practice that their anxiety increased because the same symptoms persisted for too long. It is useful to know that until health is fully restored, such things are characteristic of this practice. If they break with the practice, they simply prolong their suffering and their health gets worse and worse. If the energy has been able to pass through blockages in the chest, then vomiting and diarrhea are possible, but after that you will reach a level of health that you have never known before.

Question: How to get rid of blockages in the chest?
Answer: In order to avoid unpleasant side effects from blocking the energy in the chest, direct the energy down to the Ming Men point and concentrate there. If this does not help, shift your attention to another energy center, perhaps the Xuanji point, and concentrate on it for a while until you feel the energy go up.

I have had several students who, for one reason or another, were not doing well in their practice, and I advised them to concentrate on the navel. After a few weeks or months, I received several calls from some of them about ailments related to the fact that the energy developed in sufficient quantities and somehow manifested itself. One young lady kept saying that nothing was happening, and after 3 months she called in desperation and reported that she was experiencing chest pain and difficulty breathing. I immediately understood what had happened. She continued to focus on her navel, even though I advised her to switch to the Ming Men in her lower back. The pain and other symptoms were due to the energy rising into the chest along the anteromedian meridian. If she concentrated on the Mingmen point, she would have at her disposal a channel passing through this point, and she would not experience the troubles she describes.

Question: When should I practice and should I do it regularly?
Answer: Taoists divide the time allocated for practice into 4 periods. At 6:00 less yin and more yang, at 12:00 strong yang; at 18:00 less yang, more yin and at midnight strong yin. First you need to practice for 15-30 minutes. As you progress, you can increase this time to an hour. But it is more important to choose your time and practice regularly every day. There is no benefit in one day your practice will last 3 hours, and then stop for 2-3 months. The ideal is to practice regularly for 15-20 minutes each day, increasing in time as you progress.

Question: Should practitioners follow a diet?
Answer: You should eat what your body tells you to. It doesn't have to be strict at all. If, however, you can become a vegetarian and your body will feel good about it, then this is the best. If you eat too much meat, garlic or onions, it will sexually arouse you and thus affect your practice. I would advise you to abstain completely, or at least somewhat curb your sexual activity until you have collected enough energy and opened enough chi channels. And remember that until that time, the most important thing for you is to save the energy of the semen or ovaries, because this is a great source of energy.

If you lose a lot of sperm, or seminal fluid, then your energy supply will be very low and it will be difficult for you to produce qi. As you begin to store more energy during practice, you will get more erections at night or during class.

It is very important to curb it. To do this, try to “breathe in” and draw in energy through the Huiyin point and through the tip of the penis, directing it along the back to the head.

Question: I have friends who, after learning these methods, seem to have retired from social activities. Will you comment on this?
Answer: It's not about practice, although some people move away from other people after the start of classes. The main purpose of this practice is to make yourself stronger and happier, not to run away from everything. The Taoist approach presupposes the presence of harmony, so we suggest that people get married and lead a happy life. family life so that they can become more active in this practice and more quickly achieve their other goals. There is no need to run away from the world or from family. If you cannot control yourself in the city, then you cannot control yourself in the jungle. If you can practice well at home, then you can practice anywhere.

Question: Can relaxation and concentration reduce the amount of time you spend sleeping?
Answer: Sleep is the most important element our life. In a dream, we can restore energy, refuel the body with fuel and “repair” ourselves. So it is wrong, especially at the beginning, to replace sleep with meditation.

In the beginning, practice is practice and sleep is sleep. Some people think that sitting in meditation is sleep. Meditation can indeed calm your nervous system and brain, but your body still needs to rest, and sleep is the best way to do so. If you don't get enough sleep and then fall asleep during practice, then it's of little use. By not being able to concentrate during practice, you are simply frustrating your own plans.

Try to sleep regularly. The average adult needs eight hours of sleep. Tradition holds that when the qi fills all your organs and the process of rebirth is over in you, your body's need for sleep will decrease. And yet we must recognize that we live in such a time and are subjected to such stress that new rules and traditions may arise.

Question: How does meditation in the Microcosmic Orbit affect your emotions? Should one practice when angry, sad, disappointed?
Answer: All these feelings influence your practice. Because we live in a world of stress, no one can live a completely happy or completely satisfying life. Try to be content and satisfied with what you have. When you are discouraged by something, do not exercise, take a long walk or find some other way to calm down, then get a good sleep - after a while you will feel better. There are many useful methods for this. You can monotonously chant songs or psalms, count your breaths in and out, or chant mantras.

All this will divert your attention from your troubles and calm you down. Never forget to smile and relax. This has a positive effect on practice. You will feel that you are becoming more calm and balanced, and you will not lose weight so easily. good mood. So you could say that the healthier you get, the less you get angry. This has happened to many of my students. It doesn't matter how long you've been studying psychology, what theories you've understood, and what lectures you've attended on how to control your mood and your mind. If you don't do real practice, you won't be successful at it.

Many of my students have told me that they are stuffed full of philosophy, but that doesn't help them. But we are always trying to convince you that if you open your Microcosmic Orbit and if you balance the yin and yang in your body, you will feel happier, less angry and more stressed. The whole world will seem beautiful to you, and all people will be holy. And vice versa, if you are sick and scared, like a mouse, then looking at people, even good ones, good people who seek to help you, you will think that they want to harm you.

Your main goal now should be to use our practice to make healthy your body, your nervous system, your soul, your spirit - your whole being. Try to remind yourself to smile more and do at least one good thing in a day. That's all it takes. You must not depend on a higher advanced teacher for the guidance of your spirit; your spirit belongs to you. No one else can guide your spirit. If your spirit relies on the guidance of others, then you are in trouble.

Question: Can rhythmic breathing or chanting help circulate energy through the Microcosmic Orbit?
Answer: Generally speaking, no. Some students may be advised to do this at the very beginning to help them calm down, but try to get rid of it as soon as possible. All that is needed is to concentrate on the energy center or centers on which or on which you are working. If you pay attention to your breathing, then the energy, or "warm flow", will not gather in the center, but will dissipate.

I have many students who have been practicing for many years (some for 20-30 years) who have told me that they never felt any unusual energy in all their years of practice. When they came to me, I told them to just concentrate on the points and not pay any attention to the breath. Many of them in the first session, often after a few minutes of concentration, experienced bliss and felt the energy, being in deep concentration. All these students were well prepared and had enough energy in reserve, but did not know how to "turn on" it and how to make it flow through the right channels.

There are a lot of breathing techniques, but in all of them the "warm current" is felt with great difficulty. If you can concentrate on the point assigned to you and not pay any attention to the breath, if you can drop everything from your mind and only concentrate on that point, then the energy will flow freely. When you focus your attention on a point, you naturally follow it. It is not tension, not a great effort of will, but simply passive observation. In this situation of simple observation, you will feel very calm. So don't pay any attention to the breath, just watch the energy center.

Question: Does teacher Chia channel energy to her students to help them open the channels?
Answer: When someone comes to me first, I can give them energy. When touched by some people, they feel a “warm current” for several minutes. The body may feel like an electric shock and begin to vibrate, a person may enter into deep concentration. Only by describing the routes along which energy flows in them, and without any touch, they can enter into deep concentration, feel the energy flowing through the body and have irregular, and sometimes rapid and shallow breathing. Some come to me only once and complete the orbit experiencing great inner beauty, peace and deep awareness of their inner self. This also happens.

Question: Does your method have any side effects?
Answer: In China, the Taoists have studied and experimented with their bodies throughout their lifetimes as far back as 8,000 years before us. We know the routes, and therefore it is very easy to lead energy along them. The nature of the "warm current" or qi is such that it tends to flow upward towards the head, which is the most important part of our body. nervous system. If it gets stuck there and you don't know how to get it down, then it can harm your brain. However, by gradually exposing yourself to ever greater amounts of energy, it is possible to adapt to them. The price for not taking enough time for this adjustment and taking sufficient precautions may be pain, fear, some obvious injury, or even insanity. There are those who quickly succeeded in conducting energy in the head, but these are exceptions.

The Microcosmic Orbit is a safe system, since the 2 main channels are open, the energy can automatically circulate around. The energy flowing in a circle will never accumulate in any one place to cause serious discomfort or pain. But if you are trying to make the energy flow in only one direction, for example to the higher centers in the head, then it can behave like water in a kinked hose. Water under high pressure has nowhere to go and it remains only to break the hose.

This Taoist practice has additional channels to keep you safe. If too much energy is stuck in the head, simply reverse the flow of energy and send it down the back down to the legs and then up the front of the body to the tongue and palate. Pressing the tongue against the palate will complete the circuit by connecting the energies of the Control Channel and the Functional Channel. It's like building a tunnel through a mountain - if you dig from both sides and meet in the middle, it will save time. This is what happens when we connect 2 channels into a single loop.

Question: Why do I feel tired after meditation?
Answer: Concentration on the "warm flow" is the work of the mind, which controls the flow of energy and burns large quantities energy during the cleansing of the nervous system of the body. In the early stages of practice, you will be doing a lot of work to "fix" your body. After concentrating, you may feel tired or experience some back pain. The Taoist process of "rebirth" explains everything. It is the means by which the diseased and damaged body restores the vital processes to the state in which they were in the child. In order to accomplish this, a person needs a lot of materials and energy. Strong and healthy people after practice will feel refreshed. Those who are weak or sick, or who think they are healthy but are actually weak and sick, initially feel tired or sleepy after the practice, because much of their energy has been expended in "repairing" the body and restoring its normal functioning processes. A person gradually turns into a stronger, more energetic and at the same time calmer personality. Do not forget that this method is aimed at gradual changes and restructuring of the whole organism. After all the toxins have been expelled from the body and all the tissues have been renewed, you may find that a handful of grapes or other sweet juicy fruit can help dispel all your fatigue. The longer you practice, the better you feel. After the complete completion of the tissue repair process, you will feel how each of your activities makes you stronger.

Question: What is the benefit of completing the Microcosmic Orbit?
Answer: The Microcosmic Orbit is the main instrument of the Taoist system. By circulating chi through this simple orbit, you generate energy that is stored at the navel. The body itself knows which of the organs needs additional energy. When the “warm current” circulates, the organs, glands and blood automatically receive this energy.
