Society is no longer people, but consumers mindlessly swallowing chewing gum from mass culture and empty entertainment, often cruel. So, for example, teenagers love for fun, driving through the streets in a car at great speed, knocking down some passer-by to death - just like that, with nothing to do. Those few who are still able to think critically and see the true state of things are looked upon by the townsfolk as eccentrics, while the authorities look upon them as dangerous rebels. State supervisory authorities closely monitor them and, if necessary, "take action." But in Lately thanks to effective work these bodies of dissidents are becoming less and less, and this is understandable, because the observation of people and their indoctrination begins from the very early childhood, so that few can resist the state machine. Only a few outcasts are capable of this, and even those prefer not to get involved in an open battle with the system, but simply to keep knowledge and wait in the wings, which, they believe, will come sooner or later.
