In which group does Roman Arkhipov sing? Loader, teacher and Weiner: what happened to the Chelsea group

Russian stage is updated so frequently that it is sometimes difficult to remember an artist who was at the peak of popularity just a few months ago. In such conditions, it is difficult for performers to stay afloat, because every day new names appear that are capable of great achievements.

In order to really be remembered by listeners on the good side and not lose recognition even after leaving the top of the stage, you need to do something unusual, new and of the highest quality. At one time, such music was written by a well-known musical composition- Chelsea group.

The group was very popular, and the words of their songs sounded in the head of almost every person. Fame came to the guys quite soon early age, however, it cannot be said that they did not deserve it. It all started with the “Star Factory” - a project that gave birth to a considerable number of young artists who are popular to this day.

Back then, unknown guys from the provinces gathered under the leadership of experienced producer Viktor Drobysh, who saw promise in them and made the right decision. It was he who came up with the idea of uniting into one group of people who, at first glance, do not fit together at all, because they were all engaged in different genres music.

Compound

The Chelsea group changed its lineup only once. The first composition of the group included four people: Arseny Borodin (17 years old, mainly engaged in soul music), Denis Petrov (21 years old, rapping), Alexey Korzin (19 years old, fond of r"n"b music) and Roman Arkhipov (21 years old, rapping). preferred rock music). The Chelsea group assembled its first lineup at the Star Factory. The combination of these young people turned out to be surprisingly successful, and they performed successfully on the project, writing several hits, with which they later went on a tour of Russia, gathering crowds of fans at their concerts.

The composition of the Chelsea group was quite diverse. Each member of the group is talented in their own way and deserves special attention. Therefore, it is worth talking about them in more detail.

Denis Petrov

The official place of birth is a small town called Mozdok. Immediately after his birth, his parents moved to Vladikavkaz, so his childhood and youth were spent there.

The future lead singer of the Chelsea group studied at an ordinary gymnasium number 5 in Vladikavkaz. After graduating from school, he entered the university to study journalism. Denis was actively involved in this profession for some time. He worked as a correspondent and compiled reports for Vesti.

One of the main hobbies in the artist’s life was football. Denis was very active in it, but later chose a musical career.

Speaking about musical interests, it is worth noting Denis Petrov’s love for the lead singer of the legendary Queen Freddie Mercury. Russian artist considers the British musician the best in the history of music.

Denis now lives in St. Petersburg, where he moved quite a long time ago. He is a journalist by training and in the first years of his life in the northern capital he studied at the Faculty of Journalism at St. Petersburg State University.

After the breakup of the group, Denis Petrov appeared more than once on big stage, but in a different role. A few years ago he performed at the Comedy Battle project with his stand-up.

Roman Arkhipov

Roman was born on November 9, 1984 in a small provincial town called Gorky. However, his childhood was spent primarily in Moscow, where he moved with his parents at the age of 7.

Roman was the oldest member of the Chelsea group; at the time of the creation of the team he was 21 years old. But he always openly stated that he is a fan of rock music and wants to perform in this genre. However, he was the vocalist in the group.

The first composition of the group consisted of four people, among whom was Roman. However, it was he who was the first to leave the group, after which the Chelsea group changed its composition, and only three people remained. It was his personal decision. Despite how successful the Chelsea group was, Roman Arkhipov left the lineup consciously and on a friendly note.

Arseny Borodin

Arseny was born in the city of Barnaul on December 13, 1988. His father had enough famous musician, so the boy was surrounded by an atmosphere of music and creativity from childhood.

The father sent the boy to the song theater back in early childhood, which had a significant impact on his musical talent. His singing teachers saw great potential in him, and they were right.

Arseny was the youngest member of the group. At the age of 17, when he was still in school, the future artist decides to take part in the casting for the “Star Factory” project, which he successfully passes and is among the participants. This began the musical career of Alexei Borodin.

Alexey Korzin

Date of birth: May 18, 1986. On musical career His mother insisted on his son, since his father wanted to send Alexei to the martial arts section. At an early age, the future singer goes to music school.

As a teenager, Alexey showed his talent more than once, winning various music competitions, however, the starting point of his career, as for all members of the group, was the “Star Factory” project.

Beloved musical instrument The performer is the piano, but in the group he is the vocalist.

Finally

Chelsea - musical group, the composition of which was very diverse. This is one of the few teams that managed to achieve real success. “Chelsea” is a group whose photo composition was featured on many posters and signs throughout Russia. Their songs were played in almost every establishment, and their concerts attracted thousands of people. Success does not come in vain, which means that the band members are truly talented people who know how to make music at a high level.

How do the four guys who stole girls' hearts in 2006 live now?

This year the Chelsea group turned 12 years old. Despite the fact that there are no new songs anymore long years, the group still exists (with a little loss in composition). Let's find out how the four soloists live.

This is what the guys looked like at the beginning of their careers

Arseny Borodin

It is difficult to choose the sex symbol of the group, but still the girls singled out the courageous Arseny a little more than the other guys. Officially, the 29-year-old singer is still part of the Chelsea group and even performs at concerts. But there were also attempts to go on a solo voyage. Arseny flashed on " Main stage”, and then in the sixth season of “The Voice”, where he proved that he could perform a wide variety of repertoire, choosing Dima Bilan as his mentor.

But with his personal life, everything is more unclear - Arseny dated blogger Nastya Ivleeva for a long time, but last fall the couple broke up. Few people know whether Arseny has a girlfriend now, and on his Instagram the star posts photos with different beauties. So, perhaps, the group’s grown-up fans have a chance to charm their favorite singer.

Alexey Korzin

The 32-year-old singer is currently busy with several projects - in addition to Chelsea, he plays in the group S e v e r. He also manages to support new artists and teach others music - Alexey founded a vocal school and rehearsal facility NRG Music School.

In the singer’s personal life, everything worked out. In May 2016, his beloved wife gave birth to a son for Alexey, whose photographs he constantly posts on social networks, sharing his personal happiness with subscribers.

Denis Petrov

The oldest member of the group also turned out to be the most serious. By social networks The 34-year-old artist understands that the main thing for him is family. Several years ago Denis got married, and now he and his wife are raising their son Plato and baby Maya.

With my career, everything turned out to be more complicated. Denis still performs with the group, but is not involved in solo projects. But he DJs on the radio. And just recently, the artist and his wife began filming movies. Is it true, short videos are just starting to gain popularity.

Roman Arkhipov

The long-haired musician is the only one who decided to leave the group several years ago. And he immediately went to America to write new music. 33-year-old Roma admitted that everything was not entirely successful and he had to find an unusual job.

“Of course, you can wave the flag and say how cool everything is, I came, I defeated everyone, but I admit that there were difficult moments. I was forced to terminate the first contract: the management turned out to be not very professional. There were a lot of promises, a lot of money was spent, but I realized that this was all a road to nowhere. I started all over again because I had to. Living in America is not a cheap pleasure at all; just renting a home is worth it. At one point I found myself alone with everything - I didn’t understand where to live, the girl left me, and everything was serious with her. Stress, depression. And so a friend offered to work as a loader: $14 an hour. I thought it was not bad, I calculated that you can earn about 70 dollars per trip, and 200 per day, not bad. The only thing - exercise stress huge. My back hurts, my arms, my legs. But I believe that a man should not be afraid of physical labor.

Roman Arkhipov was born in Nizhny Novgorod in the family of concert director Igor Arkhipov, who worked for many years with Tatyana Ovsienko. In the early 90s, the family settled in Moscow. While still a child, Roman traveled a lot with his father and musicians on tour, traveling around Russia and other countries. It was then that he became interested in music, performed several times with Ovsienko as a bass player and starred in the singer’s videos.

While studying at school, Arkhipov simultaneously studied at music school, played on keyboards and bass guitar. Getting carried away percussion instruments, mastered it overnight drum kit. The boy tried to sing, but as a teenager his voice began to break, and Roma forgot about vocal lessons for a long time. At the age of 17, Arkhipov went to the United States for a year. He studied and worked part-time in a Russian restaurant. It was then that the young man again became interested in singing.

After school, Roman tried to enter the FSB Academy, trained a lot and did jogging, but in the end he still did not pass the medical examination and chose the faculty for himself international relations Moscow Humanitarian University.

Arkhipov plays tennis, snowboarding and wakeboarding. IN free time travels.

Roman speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Participation of Roman Arkhipov in the Star Factory

IN student years Arkhipov constantly participated in university concerts. Despite his great concentration on his studies, Roman still wanted to try himself as a professional singer. When “Star Factory” thundered in Russia, the young musician took part in castings three times. He was lucky only in 2006, when he qualified for the sixth season of the competition.

Initially, Arkhipov was going to introduce rock notes into the usual pop format of “Factory”. Roman succeeded: he sang on the show along with such famous groups as Scorpions And Gotthard. Despite the fact that the young man left the project one step before the final, it was his performance with the song Lift U Up was the final one at the “manufacturers” concert at the Olympic Stadium.

Roman Arkhipov's career as part of the Chelsea group

While still participating in the project, Arkhipov began performing as part of the boy band Chelsea, produced by Viktor Drobysh. In addition to Roman, the team consisted of Alexey Korzin, Arseny Borodin and Denis Petrov.

The musicians immediately became popular. In 2006, the guys received the title “ best group", as well as several Golden Gramophone awards. That same year they released their debut album « Chelsea", and in 2009 the album " Return point" In 2010, Roman filmed his first solo clip to the song Demons and Angels, and a year later decided to leave the group to pursue solo career and realize yourself as a rock musician.

Solo career of Roman Arkhipov

Having started a solo career, Arkhipov moved to the USA. Here he performs under a creative pseudonym Troy Harley. The musician recently toured major American cities. The singer lives permanently in Los Angeles.

In 2017, the singer created new project R.O.M.A.N. He collaborates with famous producer Tony Maroldoy.

In the fall of 2017, Arkhipov took part in a vocal show

December 12, 2011, 10:54 pm

My first question will be about the pseudonym: - Why did you decide to work under a pseudonym? Why not the already familiar Roma Arkhipov, but Troy Harley? Were there other options, or was this one “born” right away? Firstly, the American market is very different from the Russian market and Roman Arkhipov is not known to them, and then it is a combination of letters and sounds that is generally unpronounceable for Americans :))) The name Troy was born immediately, and Harley was a joint idea of my label JK Music Group and music producer Randy Jackson, it was he who considered the name Troy Harley to be a good name for launching a new music brand in the American market. Roma (Troy) and Randy- How did you part with the Chelsea group? How did the other members react to your decision to go solo? Do you keep in touch with the guys? One fine day, at the end of the “Star Factory. Return” project, where we performed more than worthy, I realized that for the Chelsea group this was the peak of their career. Thanks to this project, the public finally saw us as we are. We managed to destroy the stereotype about boy band members being sugary and non-singing. And if you look a little back at the “Star Factory” of 2006: on that project I tried, as they say, to give a little rock, and they allowed me to do it. I sang with such rock monsters as Scorpions, Gorky park, Gotthard and the material was selected for me accordingly. And although I later became part of the Chelsea group, no one could take away the dream of rock and roll from me :) For 5 years in Chelsea, I simultaneously worked on my own material. But only when I was at the peak of popularity, I realized that life is not rubber after all, and if you try to start everything from scratch, then now is the time. I couldn't develop any more at Chelsea. Victor Drobysh, knowing about my “illness” called Rock, let me go without any questions. As for the guys, we still communicate, especially with Arseny, we have always been friends. Having spent so many years together - in the star house, trains, planes, on tour - it is natural that we have a lot in common. - What was your most memorable moment at the Factory? Was it difficult to completely isolate yourself from friends and family and live with strangers in front of cameras? To be honest, it was difficult the first two days, it just took time to get used to it. And then it was hard at the end, when headaches began from the constant bright light, from which there was nowhere to hide. - What style will you perform in? And when can we expect the first English-language singles? It’s also interesting to find out who you collaborate with – who writes the words and music for the English-language repertoire. On this moment I work with JK Music Group and Grammy Award-winning American Idol judge Randy Jackson. I am very grateful to my producers - Yulia Kurbatova and Oleg Shmelev (JK Music Group), because it was they who, after I left Chelsea, believed in me and helped me start new life here in Los Angeles. Oleg, Troy, Randy and Julia I don’t like to single out styles in music, I can only say one thing - it will be high-quality music, absolutely different, mainly rock and pop rock, of course. One of the singles was written by people like David Cook and John Shanks, mixed by Chris Lord Alge, and we're working with Sarah West on the lyrics. If I begin to list the regalia of these people, then even a few articles will not be enough. Just type these names into Google :))) I record in a studio with unreal creative energy - Henson Studios in Hollywood (this is where the world hits of John Lennon, The Doors, Joe Cocker, Pink Floyd, Metallica, U2 and Bon Jovi). I’m also working on some songs on my own together with my friend, guitarist Alexander Afanasov. In general, I was very lucky to work with incredibly talented people, such as photographer Brain Bowen Smith, designer Marina Toibina, vocal teacher Marlon Saunders and many others. Special thanks to my friend, photographer Roman Kadaria, he flew here from Moscow and we did several photo sessions in LA and Vegas. His works were very much to the taste of Americans. The first single will be released in early 2012, and at the same time a video will appear on American music channels. - How, in your opinion, can a Russian singer really achieve real success abroad? Which of your Russian colleagues do you consider promising in terms of moving to the West? You can achieve success in any market, be it Chinese or American, but for this to happen, many things must coincide. Great amount people tried to start something here, but they didn’t succeed. This doesn't mean you shouldn't try. The most important thing in this, as my music producer Randy Jackson means working very hard every day, studying and again - work, work, work. That's what I'm doing now. I can tell one-class There are much more musicians here, there is much more competition, the majority of people are musically educated and understand perfectly well when a person sings well and when he sings poorly, when he sings with a soundtrack and when he sings live. Musicians here are not judged for their hairstyle or rhinestones. And issues here are not solved with money, as is customary in Russia. There is a concept here - healthy competition. And since such people believed in me, it makes sense to fight :) Roma, thanks again for the interview. Finally, do you read Gossip Cop? And, since there are already in the air New Year's mood, despite the heightened interest in political situation in the country, then I’ll ask - what can you wish for the gossip girls in the coming year? Dear Gossips, I wish you the most important thing in the new year - a lot of Love for yourself and others, so that you and all your loved ones are healthy and happy. I wish you to be kinder to people, I understand. that while sitting at a computer it is very easy to humiliate and insult someone and you will not get anything for it, but do not forget that behind every photo that is published here is a living person who has parents, children, loved ones. Every time you type another nasty thing, take the person’s place and be kinder :) Updated 12/12/11 23:05: I plan to interview Anna Sedokova soon about Project Runway. If you have any burning questions, write in a personal message

Arkhipov Roman Igorevich
Date of birth: 11/09/1984
Place of birth: Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod).
In 1991, at the age of seven, he moved with his parents to Moscow, where he lives to this day.

He graduated from Moscow school No. 534, and mastered the 11th grade program on his own, passing exams as an external student.

From the age of six he studied piano at a music school.

After school, I dreamed of enrolling in law school at the FSB Academy, but did not pass due to health reasons. Entered the Faculty of International Relations of Moscow Humanitarian University and in June 2006 received a diploma in Regional Studies.

During my student years, I lived and studied in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA for about a year.

Roman has been interested in rock music since childhood. Favorite bands and performers include: Deep Purple, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Nazareth, White Snake, Velvet Revolvers, Guns'n'Roses, Alice Cooper, Gotthard, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, Maroon 5. Among the classics, he prefers Mozart, especially late.

Once at the Star Factory, Roma said that he was going to bring a “heavier note” to the project. And this applies not only to the “factory” format - Roman is convinced that rock music should finally take its rightful place on national stage. This is what he plans to devote his creative career to.

Roman learned the intricacies of show business from the age of six, having traveled all over the country in touring group Tatyana Ovsienko, whose director is his father. It is not surprising that, constantly moving in a creative environment, communicating with singers and musicians, Roma himself has been involved in music since childhood and sang a lot.

Losing my voice during adolescence, studying in high school and the hassle associated with preparing to enter a university, for some time pushed my dreams of the stage into the background. But at the age of 17, during a trip to America, Roman returned to music again.

Since then, the stage has become an integral part of his life. He works as a bass guitarist at Tatiana Ovsienko’s concerts and appears in the “Summer” video for her duet with Viktor Saltykov. As a member of the student council of the Faculty of International Relations of Moscow State University, he meets the head creative group Tamara Alexandrovna Rusakova and becomes a regular participant in university concerts.

Realizing the need to gain experience working on the professional stage, Roman takes part in the castings of the Star Factory project three times. And at the beginning of 2006, luck smiled on him along this path: he found himself among the “manufacturers” of the sixth convocation - the wards of Viktor Drobysh.

The four months spent on the project became not only a landmark, but also an unusually productive period in creative career Romana. At first, he did not look too confident compared to his neighbors in the Star House, many of whom, even before joining the project, had considerable stage experience and special vocal education. However, thanks to his talent and efficiency, he managed not only not to get lost against their background, but also to make a big qualitative leap both vocally and in terms of emancipation on stage, revealing a new side from concert to concert and gaining professionalism.

His “factory” piggy bank contains four solo songs - a record that not a single participant of “Factory-6” was able to break, as well as duets with Vladimir Kuzmin (“Pharm of Your Hope”) and Alexander Ivanov (“Dreams”), Sergei Trofimov ( “Wind in the Head”) and Oleg Gazmanov (“Rehearsal of Separation”), Valeria (“Black and White”) and Abraham Russo (“Through Love”), Andrei Sapunov (“Ringing”) and Alexey Belov (“Tell Me Why”) "); with the groups “Roots” (“25th floor”), “Earthlings” (“Borsalino”), “Tokyo” (“Who am I without you”), “City 312” (“Out of reach”) and Gotthard (“Heaven” ). In addition, in many numbers Roman played the guitar, participated in extras and backing vocals, and also sang as part of a group that later received the name “Chelsea”. One of the solo songs, “Me and You,” was included in the rotation of “Russian Radio” and a number of other radio stations even before the end of the project.

Whatever Roman sang at the Factory - pop or chanson - he did not try to copy the manner and style popular artists, remaining true to his idea of adding “heavier notes” to the project format. However, he was most able to reveal himself in rock numbers. Already his first rock duet with the Swiss group Gotthard on the song “Heaven” brought Roman recognition from viewers of Channel One and MTV. For eight weeks, the duo occupied the first line of the MusicBox channel chart, for which Roman was awarded a personalized disc. The musicians of the Gotthard group themselves were so pleased with the result that they invited Roman to repeat their joint performance at the Tochka club, and also gave him one of their songs (“Lift U Up”), which he performed on the factory stage as his second solo number.
After such success, the leader of the Gorky Park group Alexei Belov drew attention to the young rock performer, who wrote the compositions “I Won’t Forget” and “Forgive” especially for Roman. WITH latest novel left the “Star Factory” just before the finale. But this departure was not a defeat! “But rock is still alive!” - he said in his farewell speech, confirming that he managed to accomplish his plan - to break the pop format of the project. Confirmation of this is the songs of the Gotthard group, with which Roman Arkhipov (and not the finalists of the project) closed the final concert at the Olimpiysky.

After the end of the project, Roman, like other “manufacturers”, signed a contract with the production center of Viktor Drobysh and tour"Star Factory - 6" is sent as a member of the Chelsea group. In addition to him, the team includes Arseny Borodin, Denis Petrov and Alexey Korzin. The group quickly gains popularity, their songs occupy the top of the charts. Chelsea end the fateful year of 2006 with the title of “best group of the year”, having in their baggage the “Golden Gramophone” for the song “Someone else’s Bride”, a video for the song “The Most Favorite” and a debut album, which included their songs from the “Star Factory” era ”, including Roman’s first solo number “Me and You”.

The group is currently active concert activities, is working on creating a new album, collaborating with popular Russian performers(in particular, with Philip Kirkorov).

However, despite the group's success, Roman still dreams of solo career and plans to create his own rock project.

He loves to travel. For the first time he went abroad in 1995 to the United United Arab Emirates. This was followed by Greece (Crete), Israel (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem), Italy (Venice, Verona), Egypt, Cyprus (Aionapa), Vietnam. For about a year, Roma lived in the USA (Las Vegas), where he studied and worked part-time in a Russian restaurant. From other countries and cities dreams of visiting Paris and South Africa. But to the question “Where would you like to live?” firmly answers: “It’s good to relax abroad, go there for a short period of time, but I want to live in Moscow. Well, basically, I live here.”

Studying English and Spanish.

In addition to keyboards, he plays bass guitar. According to eyewitnesses, he mastered the drum kit in one night, keeping the holiday village awake until the morning.

Favorite animal is scorpion.

Prefers sports tennis. If he has free time, he goes to the gym. Dreams of learning to snowboard or ski.

Favorite colors are black, white and purple.

He prefers expensive and beautiful branded clothing, although he knows how to turn a jacket purchased at the market into a work of hand-made art by sewing scorpions on it. He likes to combine sports and classic clothes with extravagant elements in a rocker style: a long black raincoat, leather pants, metal bracelets and rings on his hands, massive buckles, inscriptions in the rock and roll spirit. But sometimes you just don’t recognize him! Once in his 2nd year, Roma, dressed in blue trousers, a women's jacket and with a cigar in his hands, stood in the company of two classmates in front of the Prague Embassy, holding a blue bag of one of them in his hands. Men walked past them with an exclamation: “Oooh, girls!”, to which Roma indignantly replied: “What girls!?”

From birth, Roman is blond with curly hair and categorically refuses to cut it! Although, there were times when teenager Roma shaved his head.

Loves to work in Photoshop. For some time, this hobby even turned into work.

Roman is a very sociable person, loves to communicate with the most different people. Supports friendly relations with Tatyana Ovsienko and Olga Kormukhina, Alexey Belov and Alexander Erokhin (drummer of “Lube”), musicians of the groups Gotthard and Nazareth, as well as with many other colleagues “in the shop”.

Your personal life doesn't like to discuss. All we know for sure is that he is not married. Whenever possible, he takes part in raising his younger brother Nikita, the German shepherd Alice, an evil cat and two squirrels.
