Today we have a very interesting topic: Spider-Man costumes. We will tell you what his costumes are made of, how many of them, and what gadgets are used.

After learning about his abilities after being bitten by a spider, Peter saw an ad in the newspaper offering a cash prize to anyone who lasted three minutes in the ring with a professional wrestler. Peter thought it was a good way to test his strength. To maintain anonymity, he puts on old clothes and makes himself a mask.

This is what the very first Spider-Man costume looked like.

After the victory, Peter was offered to become a show business star, for which Peter makes himself the well-known red and blue suit for all of us.

The suit was made from spandex, consisting of polyurethane fibers. The fabric is very elastic - it is able to stretch by 600% and return to its original state in very a short time. Spandex has great wear resistance, is also easy to wash and dries quickly.

Large white lenses are sewn to the mask for good review in a mask. The lenses also function as sunglasses.

The suit has a standard set of gadgets:

Symbiote, "black suit"

First appearance of Secret Wars #8

Venom appears in the eighth edition of the "Secret Wars" event. Otherworldly (beyond), seeing how strong the earthly heroes are, against their will transferred a group of heroes and villains to another planet located in another galaxy to fight each other. In one such battle, Spider-Man tore his suit. He was advised to find new suit one of the bases. Finding an unknown mechanism at the base that released a black sphere, the Spider touched it. Thus, he released a sharpened Venom, which replaces his old suit, makes him stronger and gives him a more formidable black color.

The suit gave Spider-Man new abilities such as:

  • Superhuman strength
    The symbiote greatly strengthens the muscles and skeleton of the body, making it much stronger;
  • Superhuman durability
    The symbiote strengthens the body, allowing it to safely survive falls from great heights, gunshots, and blows from the strongest superheroes such as the Hulk and the Juggernaut. The symbiote is also capable of absorbing small caliber bullets;
  • Superhuman Stamina
    The symbiote significantly slows down the production of fatigue toxins in the muscles. Due to this, the wearer is able to be at the peak of his abilities for 24 hours before he starts to get tired;
  • Regenerative healing factor
    The suit allows you to heal wounds much faster than they heal on ordinary people;
  • Symbiote detection
    The symbiote is able to sense other symbiotes on long distances;
  • web development
    The symbiote also allows it to produce its own web, made up of the suit's genetic material. Its strength is 58 kg per 1 mm²;
  • Camouflage
    Symbiote allows you to copy any clothes.

After Peter got rid of the symbiote, he was left without a suit at all. In order not to run home naked, Peter is given one of the Fantastic Four's spare costumes, and instead of a mask, a bag is put on his head.

On the way home, the "Package Man" stops a gang of bandits. After that, journalists attack him, asking a bunch of questions about who he is, how he managed to stop the bandits, whether he is trying to make fun of superheroes with his costume. Without answering questions, Peter runs away from the journalists and runs home.

Black suit

First appearance of Spectacular Spider-Man #99

Another suit worth mentioning is the black suit, but not the symbiote. After Peter got rid of the alien suit, he was surprised by the Black Cat, who made him an exact copy of the black suit, as she considered Spider to be sexier in it.

The costume is made of the same material as the classic one, i.е. from spandex. At first, Peter didn't wear it, but when his regular suit was torn or in the wash, Peter wore a black suit. But after Venom visited Mary Jane, seriously frightening her, she asked Peter to take off this suit. Thus, the black suit temporarily went to the shelf.

In the future, Peter wore a black suit to show the enemies that he was serious and not going to joke. In this costume, the Spider behaved extremely aggressively, despite the fact that it was not a symbiote.

In a black suit, Spiderman nearly killed Wilson Fisk (Kingpin / Kingpin) and Sergey Kravinov (Kraven the Hunter).

First appearance Amazing Spider-Man #529

After quelling a riot at the Raft Prison, Spider-Man joined the New Avengers and befriended Iron Man. Stark took care of Peter in every possible way, even settling the Parker family in the Avengers Tower. Before the Civil War, Tony Stark made an agreement with Peter: Peter tacitly became his main assistant. On this occasion, Tony Stark gave Peter an armored suit made from Kevlar microfiber. Kevlar has high strength (five times stronger than steel, tensile strength σ0= 3620 MPa). Kevlar retains strength and elasticity at low temperatures, up to cryogenic temperatures (-196°C). Moreover, at low temperatures, it even becomes a little stronger. When heated, Kevlar does not melt, but decomposes at relatively high temperatures (430-480°C). The golden details of the costume are made of titanium alloy.

The spider emblem serves as a housing for the computer system that controls the suit's gadgets, as follows:

  • mesh glider
    Allows you to make short flights, the computer can calculate the flight path;
  • Radio communication
    Built-in communication lines for firefighters, police and ambulance, sound and video amplification. Including infrared light and ultraviolet;
  • Hydrocarbon filters
    Located in the mouth area to protect against toxins;
  • Disguise
    Lightweight fabric made of metallic nanofiber, makes it possible to adjust the visibility of the suit, control is carried out using neurochemical sensors. Nanofiber supports other suit styles, it can accept any suit style. Also, the suit can merge with different surfaces;
  • tentacles
    Three mechanical sharp tentacles are activated on the back, with which you can attack. Cameras are mounted in the tentacles, projecting images onto lenses;
  • Armor
    The suit is able to withstand small caliber bullets;
  • Thermal stability
    The suit can withstand high temperatures.

armored suit

First appearance of Amazing Spider-Man #654

When Spidey lost his spider-sense and was shot by Marcus Lyman, Spidey had to somehow protect himself. For this reason, he made himself a new armored suit that can withstand bullets up to and including sniper rifle bullets.

In his costume, the Spider broke into the building where Marcus Lyman was holding hostages. The bandit tried to kill the hostages, but the Spider in his armor took the blow, withstanding a 5.56 mm machine gun burst. As a result, the Spider pushed Marcus outside, where dozens of snipers tried to shoot him. But Spider-Man saved the criminal by protecting him from sniper bullets, which his suit successfully withstood.

The material of the costume is not exactly known. Most likely the material is a high-impact polymer that Peter invented. Kevlar is worn under the black coating. On the head is a helmet with narrow lenses on the holes to minimize the chance of a bullet hitting the eye. Web shooters are not on the wrists, but on the forearm.

Another feature of the suit is a magnetic web that blocks any radio signals. Peter made it so that Marcus Lyman could not use the detonators.

Peter created Spider Armor to help the Night's Watch defeat a new villainous team called the Enforcers, whose members had dangerous abilities and were a threat to all of New York. Acting as a team, they were very dangerous even for Spidey. Spider-Man was endangered by the powers of Dragon, Termite, and Eel, which could easily fry or undermine Spidey, as well as by a woman called the Plant, who released poisonous spores. The armor is worn over a normal suit. The armor is made of Kevlar fiber. The plates are made of titanium alloy, which increases strength and heat resistance. The plates are connected so as not to interfere with movement. The lenses are made of heat-resistant glass that can withstand high temperatures. Under the mask there is a built-in filter that cleans the air from poisonous spores.

When the fight with the Enforcers began, the armor perfectly protected the Spider from high temperatures and explosions. But during the battle, the armor gradually broke down from numerous blows. The fatal move was made by Thermite, which melted the plates and then froze Spidey. Spider-Man broke the frozen armor. Spiderman never used this armor again.

Costume Features:

  • Armor
    The plates can withstand small caliber bullets;
  • Heat resistance
    Kevlar and titanium withstand high temperatures;
  • Filter
    The filter under the mask allows you to purify the air from toxic gases (spores).

stealth suit

First appearance of Amazing Spider-Man #650

One day, the Hobgoblin broke into Horizon Labs and stole an artificially created metal, revirbium, which is almost impossible to destroy, and once reflecting the vibrations nearly destroyed the entire building.

In order to keep this dangerous metal from falling into the wrong hands, the Spider decides to steal it back, but to do this he had to get into the heavily guarded tower of the Kingpin. For these purposes, the Spider decided to develop a special suit that makes him invisible and isolates any external sounds in order to protect himself from the Hobgoblin's ultrasonic laughter, as well as internal sounds (in this case, Spider-Man's voice and breathing).

The suit is made of an omi-harmonic network with light and sound bending properties. The suit has 3 modes:

  • Green, stealth mode
    In this mode, the suit bends light and sound, making Spidey invisible, and isolates sound. Neon lines serve to ensure that, while in stealth mode, the Spider can navigate in space. With the help of special lenses, he sees these lines;
  • Red, soundproof mode
    Completely isolates all external sounds, including ultrasound;
  • White
    This is the normal mode, becomes a normal suit.

In addition to these properties, the suit has another feature - these are special anti-metal spider bugs that can destroy any type of metal.

Future Foundation Costume

First appearance of Amazing Spider-Man #658

When the Future Foundation called Spidey on a mission, he showed up in an old Fantastic Four costume to join their team. But the team ended up in new costumes, and they also gave a new costume to Spidey. Peter initially joked that he looked like an anti-venom and people would think he was bad.

The suit is made of unstable molecules. Fabric of unstable molecules, difficult to cut with a knife and pierce with small caliber bullets. The suit cannot be stained, which is a big plus, since the suit is white.

Scarlet Spider Costume

First appearance of Web of Spider-Man Vol 1 #118

After a long wandering, Ben Riley, believing himself to be a useless clone, returned to New York with a desire to help Spider in the fight against crime.

Riley makes herself a different costume from Spidey's. Wears a red leotard that is identical in material to the Spider suit (spandex). Over the tights, a blue sleeveless sweatshirt with a spider emblem on the chest.

On top of the suit are web shooters and a belt with cartridges for them. Web shooter cartridges are larger than Spidey's, which increases the supply of webs. One of the features of the costumes are poisonous darts in web shooters that paralyze enemies.

After the first battle with Venom and saving people, the journalists who watched it nicknamed Ben the Scarlet Spider.

First appearance of Sensational Spider-Man #0

One day, Peter and Ben were confused. A certain Seward Trainer, who worked for Osborn, informed Ben that he was the real Spider, and Peter was his clone. Shocked by this news, besides learning that Mary Jane is pregnant, Peter decides to give up his superhero career. And asks Ben to take his place. But Riley didn't fill in for Spiderman for long. Peter returned when he found out that they had been misled.

It is worth mentioning that in this costume, Ben merged with the symbiote Carnage.
As the Scarlet Spider was escaping from the Ravencroft Institute, he merged with Carnage, who escaped through the plumbing from his host Cletus Kasady's cell.

Kernage gives all the same abilities as Venom, but he also knows how to transform limbs into melee weapons.

Ben managed to subdue the symbiote, and subjected himself to microwave radiation in an attempt to kill the symbiote, but he manages to escape at the last moment and returns to the previous carrier.

First appearance of Scarlet Spider-Man #2

Kine, an evil clone who was dying due to a failed cloning, realizing much he dies for Spidey, was revived by the Spider Queen as a monster. After which Peter saved him, and Kine went to roam the world.

He tries to be a hero, but he acts tough. He doesn't think about harming the rascals...
As a result, Kine makes himself a costume similar to that of the Scarlet Spider, and takes his name for himself, and begins a career as a hero.

First appearance of Peter Parker Spider-Man #90

When Peter entered the Negative Zone, his costume changed to black and gray. And then the locals attacked the Spider, but he was saved by a hero named Dusk. Later it turned out that those who attacked him were the people of the local tyrant ruler. After that, Spidey joins the Dusk, who led the rebels, and fights shoulder to shoulder with him. Dusk soon died in a fierce battle, and at the request of the rebels, Spider-Man donned the Dusk suit.

In this costume, Spidey leads the attack and leads the rebels to victory. After that, Peter returns to his world, taking the Dusk costume with him.

Dusk

One of the features of the suit is a glider, which allows you to fly short distances. Since the suit is completely black, it is almost impossible to see it in the dark.

Spider-Man dons this costume in the "Identity Crisis" arc in Peter Parker: Spider-Man #91, in which he played the role of a mercenary in order to get information from a man named Trapster. Who, on Osborn's orders, staged the murder and framed Spidey.

While we're on the subject of the "Identity Crisis" arc, let's continue with the costumes that Peter wore during this period. And let's start from the very first
which he tried on is the Ricochet suit.

Ricochet

First appearance of Amazing Spider-Man #434

Once, Norman Osborn framed Spider-Man by rigging the murder of a petty crook named Joey Z. To do this, he filled his lungs with the web that Spidey uses. He also provoked Spider-Man to attack him in public. The spider was put on the wanted list, and the reward for the capture was $ 5 million. Spider-Man could not safely appear on the street, as most of the police and ordinary people tried to catch him.

In Amazing Spider-Man #434, Peter put the Spider-Man suit on the shelf and donned the new suit that Mary Jane made for him to live up to the good name of Spider-Man.

The costume is made from spandex. Over a leather jacket, on the sleeves of which discs for throwing are attached. The discs are made from a special alloy that allows them to bounce off hard surfaces while maintaining most energy.

In order not to give himself away, in this suit, Peter used only his agility, jumping away from attacks, and jumping from wall to wall, which is why he was nicknamed Ricochet.

Using the Ricochet costume, Peter temporarily teamed up with an old nemesis of Spider-Man, Deliala, in order to get information on some villains, including the Black Tarantula, who was hunting Spider-Man and suspected that Ricochet was hiding Man- Spider.

After Spidey and Deliala managed to stop the Black Tarantula, Peter put Ricochet's suit on the shelf.

Hornet

First appearance The Sensational Spider-Man #27

The new costume was again made by Mary Jane. Peter borrowed web shooter technology from the Scarlet Spider, making bracelets that fired paralyzing darts. Instead of the usual mask, Peter put on a helmet with protective glass. The jetpack was made by Hobie Brown, but since the jetpack was too heavy to carry ordinary person, he gave it to the Spider.

The debut of Spider-Man in the Hornet costume was successful. Within a few days, Hornet became folk hero. The hornet stopped Luther (looter), who stole the money that served as a reward for the capture of Spider-Man. After that, Hornet was interviewed, asking "Would you stay in New York to stop Spider-Man" to which he replied "I don't think you don't have to worry about Spider-Man anymore". But the words of the hornet were distorted, and something completely different was printed in the newspapers. Because of this article, the Human Torch attacked the Hornet, warning him that if he touched Spider-Man, he would regret it.

One day during a fight with Vulture, Vulture learned Spider-Man's fighting style and his taunts, he realized that Hornet is Spider-Man and planned to reveal the truth to people. Therefore, Peter was forced to remove the Hornet costume.

After the Hornet costume, Peter puts on the Dusk Costume mentioned at the beginning.

When Peter was looking for Trasper in his Twilight costume, Osborn put a bounty on Trasper's head to keep him from talking. Spiderman manages to save Trasper from the Shocker. Dusk said he helped Trapster because Norman used him too. Dusk and Trapster became allies. Once Trapster called Dusk with him to kill Norman Osborn, but Peter stopped him, he convinced Trasper to confess in court that Osborn ordered to do so that his life would be hell. The trapster did just that, and thus, Spider-Man's name was partially cleared.

Prodigy

First appearance of The Spectacular Spider-Man #257

Prodigy - armored suit yellow color made from Kevlar fiber. On top of the suit are shields made of durable polymer. In this suit, Peter jumped with all his might, and from the side it seemed that he was flying.

Dressed as a Prodigy, Peter stopped the mercenaries who were hired by a man known as Riddle. Riddle wanted to kidnap the ambassador's daughter, who stole a certain glove that has great power. But Jack O'Lantern took the glove from the ambassador's daughter. When Peter found the ambassador's daughter and tried to free her, he was attacked by Jack Lantern, but before he could do anything, he was killed by Norman Osborn, who nailed him to the scene.

Later at the press conference, Peter, dressed as Prodigy, revealed that he was Spider-Man, he explained what had happened. People accepted it and Spider-Man's name was completely cleared. And Peter put on his old suit.

First appearance of The Amazing Spider-Man #329

A mysterious source of energy travels the universe in search of those who need the power of this energy. This energy chose Spidey as its host in The Amazing Spider-Man #329.

The spider received his new power after a strong electric shock in the laboratory. But the electric shock partially blocked most of Captain Universe's energy abilities, and Peter could not use the new powers to their full potential. But Peter believed that the electric shock was the reason for the increase in his spider abilities.

One day, Spider-Man and the other heroes encountered a team assembled by Loki, and with the help of a new power, Spider-Man defeated them. But Loki did not stop and created the Triguard (Tri-sentinel) of the three Guardians, mutant-hunting robots.

And at that moment, Spider-Man manifested all the power of energy, and he turned into Captain Universe. The full force of Captain Universe's energy gave Spider the following abilities:

  • Superhuman strength
    Spider-Man's normal strength increased by 50 times;
  • universal vision
    A kind of cosmic consciousness. Captain Universe can sense objects at the subatomic level or at great distances. It can also force a person to tell what he wants to know. The information received is always true;
  • Regeneration
    Restores the wearer faster than Wolverine's regeneration;
  • Heat resistance
    The Captain Universe suit protects the wearer from varying temperatures;
  • Energy Manipulation
    Captain Universe can control energy flows or convert them into various types of energy. This ability also allows you to change objects at the atomic level, for example, in order to change the shape of the body or turn one substance into another;
  • Teleportation
    Allows you to teleport hundreds of kilometers.

All of these abilities will not work if the wearer tries to use them for anything other than their mission. It was the Triguard, who was very dangerous, that was the reason why Spider-Man became Captain Universe. When Peter defeated the Triguard, this energy left him.

In order to be cured, O'hara decides to use the gene-crossing machine, replacing spider DNA with human, but before entering the chamber, human DNA was again replaced with spider. This time everything went more successfully than in the experiments - Miguel was cured and received spider powers. Upon learning of this, Alchemax immediately began to hunt him, and he had to go on the run, almost always in his suit.

Miguel did not have to create a new costume for himself, but only remake the costume he wore several years ago at the traditional Mexican Day of the Dead holiday. He adds a glider to it and changes the pattern on the chest, which originally looked like a skull. The suit is made of a fabric composed of unstable molecules. This fabric is able to withstand the claws that Spider-Man 2099 grows.

Peter Parkua had a suit before he became Spider-Man. Peter was working with royal spy Nicholas Fury and his suit was a uniform of sorts.

First appearance of Marvel Mangaverse: Spider-man #1

The Manga Spider suit is the special uniform of his clan. While not yet gaining any special powers, Peter uses Shuko (palm claws) to climb walls. And instead of a web, he uses hooks in the form of a spider - Kyoketsu-shoge.

Spider-Man is thousands of comics, nine animated series and dozens of video games. The number of undocumented appearances of the hero in movies, TV series and on various paraphernalia is incalculable. Even in the official Marvel world, Spider-Man has dozens of bit parts in comics about other characters, and Spider-Man himself has many alternative versions.

What should every superhero have? Of course, superpowers, dangerous enemies and love, which periodically have to be saved. Over the long history (the first series of The Amazing Spider-Man comics was launched in 1963), at least 60 villains managed to fight the Spider. With love, everything is no less confusing: Peter Parker was romantically linked with a dozen girls.

Only a small part of Spider-Man's enemies / screenrant.com

Spider-Man on the screen was remembered by the Russian audience primarily for the animated series that came out from 1994 to 1998. It was in it that most of us first saw the Green Goblin, Venom, Doctor Octopus or Mysterio, as well as Peter Parker's girls: Mary Jane Watson and Felicia Hardy.

The early Spider-Man films are quite difficult to watch - none of them received serious awards or public love, they were distinguished by both weak dramaturgy and low-quality special effects. The real story of Spidey on the big screen began with a 2002 film directed by Sam Raimi.

What was the Sam Raimi trilogy like?

  • : Tobey Maguire.
  • Peter Parker's girlfriend Story by: Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst)
  • : Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, New Goblin, Sandman, Venom.

The storytelling in the films of the original trilogy years later may seem too naive and peaceful, happy endings too “Hollywood”, but who cared when the whole world watched Spider-Man fly on the big screen for the first time with bated breath?

The cast of the franchise can be called stellar: Kirsten Dunst, Willem Dafoe and James Franco, who at that time had not yet completely discredited himself with roles in dubious comedies, were involved in the main roles.

Some coincidences did seem perfect: J.K. Simmons very organically got used to the role of Jay John Jameson, editor-in-chief of The Daily Bugle. Tobey Maguire did a great job as the underdog Peter Parker, but didn't seem convincing enough in moments where the main character had to show the toughness and brashness of Spider-Man, captured by the symbiote.

The main drawback of the Raimi films for Spider-Man fans is the all-too-obvious rift between Peter Parker and his superhero alter ego.

Weak traits of Peter, like strengths Spider, in the films of the first trilogy are exaggerated. charm original story is that Peter is himself, even wearing tights. Reimi showed classic story sample "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."

All three films in the franchise received positive reviews from critics and the love of the audience. Despite significant discrepancies from the original comic book plot and excessive melodrama, Sam Raimi's trilogy is pleasant to review and 10 years after its end.

Spiderman

  • Year: 2002.
  • IMDb: 7,3.
  • What do you remember: Spider-Man and Mary Jane kiss and Spider-Man's first screen appearance.

Movie adaptations of Spider-Man combine key moments given by the comics: the bite of a radioactive spider and the death of Uncle Ben. Sam Raimi's 2002 film was no exception, opening a trilogy that is still called the original.

In this film, Peter begins to build a relationship with Mary Jane Watson, fights against petty criminals and enters into a confrontation with the Green Goblin - Norman Osborn, who is also the father of Parker's best friend. The final battle between the Goblin and Spider-Man takes place on the bridge, where Peter is faced with a choice: save his beloved or a cable car full of kids. Spoilers: everyone survives except Norman Osborn, Peter Parker and Mary Jane are happily in a relationship, Peter's friend Harry Osborn vows to take revenge on Spider-Man for his dead father.

Spiderman 2

  • Year: 2004.
  • IMDb: 7,3.
  • What do you remember: a scene with a train stopping, tending to a cliff, and Spider-Man as a pizza delivery man.

The second film of the original trilogy begins with a description of Peter Parker's problems: he is fired from his job, Mary Jane left him and is about to marry a respected astronaut, and another unsuccessful experiment led to the birth of a new villain. This time it's Doctor Octopus, the monster that took over the body of the scientist Otto Octavius.

The betrayal of his best friend aggravates the picture: Harry Osborn colludes with a scientist who has gone crazy, promising to provide him with tritium for experiments in exchange for Spider-Man. To facilitate the search for his father's killer, Osborn gives Octavius a tip: Peter Parker will help find Spidey. Octopus kidnaps Mary Jane in front of Peter, saying that he will be waiting for Spider-Man.

Having managed to save the passengers of the train striving for a cliff, the Spider loses consciousness, which Doctor Octopus takes advantage of. He brings the hero's body to Harry Osborn and takes the tritium. Harry learns that under the mask of the object of revenge hides his best friend, and releases him for the final battle in the laboratory of Dr. Octavius. Failing to win the fight, Spider-Man tries to appeal to morality and the remnants of sanity in the once brilliant scientist. Attempts are bearing fruit: Doctor Octopus drowns his installation and successfully self-destructs.

The film ends with a start to the final part of the trilogy: Harry Osborn finds his father's secret laboratory in the house. It becomes clear - most likely, he will be blown away again and his desire to take revenge on the Spider will flare up with renewed vigor in the next film. And Mary Jane, of course, runs away from the wedding and returns to Parker.

Spider-Man 3: Reflected Enemy

  • Year: 2007.
  • IMDb: 6,2.
  • What do you remember: Peter Parker's hooligan bangs and the first two-on-two battle in the trilogy.

The beginning of the final part of the trilogy is going well for the hero Tobey Maguire: the people of New York praise Spider-Man, and Peter Parker is preparing to propose to Mary Jane. The level of well-being is proportional to the problems that the hero will face during the film: not only did Harry Osborn master his father's equipment and become a full-fledged enemy of the Spider, but the killer of Uncle Ben escaped from prison, turning into a new supervillain - Sandman along the way.

There is a feeling that 90% of Peter Parker's problems are concentrated in this film. His costume is captured by black slime of alien origin, under its control the Spider becomes stronger and much more aggressive. Misbehavior imposed by the symbiote, an accidental kiss with Gwen Stacy, and Harry rushing in time led to Peter's separation from Mary Jane. Realizing the catastrophic consequences of actions committed in the power of a symbiote, Peter decides to get rid of the suit. The symbiote leaves the Spider, but takes possession of Eddie Brock, a photographer who lost his job because of Peter Parker.

After becoming Venom, Eddie joins forces with Sandman and attacks Spider-Man. The spider clearly loses the fight, but Harry comes to the rescue, having learned that Peter did not actually kill his father. As a result of his injuries, Harry dies. The film ends with a happy ending with a note of sadness: Peter and Mary Jane are back together, but their friend is no longer with them.

What do you remember about Mark Webb's dilogy?

  • Performer as Peter Parker Story by: Andrew Garfield.
  • Peter Parker's girlfriend Story by: Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone)
  • : Lizard, Electro, Rhino, Green Goblin, Gustav Firs.

The Mark Webb dilogy was planned as a series of four films, but after the release of two parts, Sony and Marvel decided to restart the franchise, removing the director and the previous cast.

Andrew Garfield did a great job as the new Peter Parker, seamlessly fitting into the character's superhero alter ego. Many compared Webb's dilogy with the previous franchise, but there were quite a few differences: Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, became Parker's passion, and the Spider regained a sense of humor (which fans of the 1994 animated series liked).

Many were wary of Webb's dilogy. This happens when it comes to something dearly loved and that the film and cast team can easily spoil if they themselves are not saturated with such love. Fortunately, the people who made The Amazing Spider-Man really loved their job and respected the canons set by the comics. In the film adaptation of Spider-Man, the noir element returned, Peter began to produce webs from cartridges, and Gwen Stacy tragically died at the end of the second part.

The new Spiderman

  • Year: 2012.
  • IMDb: 7,0.
  • What do you remember: Spider's witticisms against enemies and Andrew Garfield's basketball tricks.

The first film in the franchise begins with a traditional premise: the bite of a spider and the death of Uncle Ben. In addition, we learn about Peter Parker's crush on Gwen Stacy and get acquainted with the next element of the canonical scenario: little Peter's farewell to his parents.

Spider's enemy this time is the Lizard - the result of an unsuccessful experiment by Dr. Curt Connors to grow a lost arm. There is also a focus on Peter's confrontation with George Stacy, a police captain and Gwen's father.

The action of the film is less naive and more realistic than in Sam Raimi's epic.

Parker really has to think: he designs and upgrades Spider-Man's suit, creates launchers for throwing webs.

The enemy does not find him himself: Peter has to figure out his location.

Screen versions of Mark Webb do not end with classic happy endings: the Lizard is defeated, but George Stacy dies, and Peter breaks up with Gwen (although at the end of the film it becomes clear that they will still be together). Marvel's traditional easter egg post-credits scene. It shows a conversation between Curt Connors and Gustav Fiers: A gentleman asks a scientist if he told Parker the truth about his father.

The new Spiderman. High voltage

  • Year: 2014.
  • IMDb: 6,7.
  • What do you remember: Spider-Man suffering from a cold and tragic death Gwen Stacy.

Peter's first enemy was Aleksey Sitsevich, who was trying to steal an OsCorp van loaded with plutonium. Attentive fans of Spider-Man immediately recognized him as a criminal who would later turn into another monster - Reno.

The main rival of the Spider in the second part of the dilogy was OsCorp Electro - electrician Max Dillon, who fell into a container with genetically modified electric eels.

One of the key characters of the franchise appears - Harry Osborn. This time, he does not even try to seem like a positive hero: having become the head of OsCorp after the death of his father, he is rude to employees and has an unhealthy interest in the company's dubious developments. Upon learning that he is ill, he asks Peter Parker to get him the blood of Spider-Man.

Peter's refusal leads to the fact that Osborn finally flies off the coils: removed from the management of OsCorp, he enters into a coalition with Electro and gains access to the company's secret developments. Harry injects himself with a spider venom serum, not knowing that for most people it is fatal (with the exception of Richard Parker's blood relatives), finds the Green Goblin's armor and glider.

Gwen helps the Spider win the final fight with Electro, but then the Green Goblin appears, harboring hatred for Peter. Spider-Man wins the battle but fails to save Gwen in time.

What to expect from the new Spider-Man: Homecoming movie?

The premiere of the new adaptation of Spider-Man will take place on July 6. The future is uncertain, but something about the upcoming film is already known.

The role of Peter Parker went to British actor Tom Holland. At the time of filming, Tom was only 20 years old: it is noticeable that the Spiders are getting younger with each franchise.

Holland has already played Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. It is noteworthy that the experience of a gymnast and a hip-hop dancer helped the actor perform many of the most difficult stunts on his own, as reported by KinoPoisk journalists.

Spider-Man's relationship with the heroes of the Marvel Universe will become closer. This is evidenced by the frequent references to "The Avengers" in the trailers of the film and the presence of Robert Downey Jr. in it. Obviously, the Spider-Man reboot is due to Marvel's desire to pool its superhero capital, and what results this will bring, we only have to find out.

The main antagonist of "Homecoming" will be the Vulture. Michael Keaton will play the role of Adrian Toomes, the original creator of the flying villain costume. Also, judging by the cast of the film, Bokeem Woodbine's Shocker may appear in the new Spider-Man.

Will shoot "Homecoming" young American director Jon Watts. Subsequent films can hardly be classified as a "Watts franchise": other directors have been appointed for future films. It is also unknown whether there will be a separate epic dedicated to Spider-Man - after all, Marvel is trying very hard to integrate Spider into theirs, not trying to give him the first roles.

The premiere of the new "Avengers", where Spider is expected to appear in an episodic role, is scheduled for 2018. In the same year, the next solo film dedicated to Spider-Man, Venom, is scheduled to be released. This time, the villain captured by the symbiote will be played by Tom Hardy, and Ruben Fleischer, known for his work on the film "Welcome to Zombieland", has already been appointed director. The expected rating of "Venom" is R, which hints that we will be shown an adult and rather gloomy film adaptation of "Spider-Man".

Also in the fall of 2018, the release of the "female" spin-off of "Spider-Man" under the working title Silver & Black is scheduled. "Silver" and "Black" refers to two Marvel heroes: Silver Sable and Black Cat.

Despite the fact that Spider-Man appeared several decades later than the most famous superheroes in the world, Superman and, he occupies an honorable third place in popularity among other costumed heroes. Wit, age, lifestyle and problems common man made it close and understandable to a large audience, including teenagers. Not to mention that Spider-Man changed the entire comic book industry more than once.

If you suddenly haven’t heard anything about Spider-Man, then our short material will tell you the main points about the character and his journey from comics to screens.

Birth of a hero

How interesting is it for teenagers to read about the problems of an adult billionaire orphan or a super-strong alien? Long years they did just that, but the teenagers themselves in comics have always been nothing more than sidekicks of the protagonist. Take Robin or Bucky, for example. But everything changed in the early 60s of the last century, when Stan Lee and Steve Ditko introduced the ordinary teenager Peter Parker to the world. And despite the fact that he was bitten by a radioactive spider, and now he is the owner of amazing abilities (spider-sense, the ability to climb walls and his web-shooting cartridges), he was primarily a teenager with all the ensuing age problems.

It's no surprise that Spider-Man has become hugely popular so quickly, changing the world of comics along the way.

First appearance

Spider-Man first appeared in the pages of Amazing Fantasy #15 in August 1962. It came as a surprise to many, because teenager Peter Parker, without a mentor, was trained to control his abilities, realizing what it means to be a hero and fight crime, protecting civilians.

After that, Spider-Man appeared in several magazines, but the most significant was The Amazing Spider-Man (The Amazing Spider-Man).

villains

Like , Spider-Man has accumulated great amount enemies. Most of them, like Spidey, appeared after unsuccessful experiments. Spiderman's first enemy in "Amazing Spider-Man #1" was Chameleon, then Vulture, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Lizard, Electro, Mysterio, Green Goblin, Kraven Hunter, Scorpion, Rhinoceros. All of these villains appeared in Spider-Man in the first three years of the series.

However, Spider-Man's most famous confrontation was with the villain Venom, who first appeared as a black symbiote suit of Spider-Man himself. Later, the alien symbiote went to journalist Eddie Brock, and he received powers similar to those of the Spider. But the protagonist of the series and Venom have not always remained enemies, they have been allies more than once, including when Carnage, the red symbiote, embarked on the path of massacre.

Symbiote Series

After the events of Secret Wars, Spider-Man was possessed by a black symbiote from outer space for 4 years (1984-1988). After returning to Earth, Spidey walked around in a new black suit, inciting anger among comic book fans. As a result, in the series “The Amazing Spider-Man”, Peter Parker realized how negatively the suit affects him, fought the symbiote and returned to the classic red and blue suit.

First screen appearance

Such a phenomenon as Spider-man could not bypass television for a long time. His first appearance was the animated series Spider-Man, which aired on the ABC channel from 1967 to 1970, it was in this series that the most famous song about Spider-Man. In 1978, CBS attempted to produce its own series, with Nicholas Hammond as Peter Parker, but the project only lasted a year.

Film history

The first Friendly Neighbor action film was released in 2002, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker. This film changed the idea of superhero films and can be considered the starting point of what we have now. Spider-Man 2 (2004) considered best film of the entire Reimi trilogy, and at the same time the best film about the Spider (however, it is still unknown what the upcoming pictures will be like). In that film, Doctor Octopus appeared in a wonderful performance by Alfred Molina. But Spider-Man 3 tried to pack too much into it, resulting in a very vague and controversial film, and the Raimi franchise came to an end.

Just five years after Spider-Man 3, namely in 2012, Sony relaunched the franchise with new actor Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man. Although the box office did well, it wasn't enough for the film company, and the average reviews kept this reboot from surviving more than two films.

In 2010, it was decided to move Spider-Man to Broadway. This project was launched, then canceled, then launched again and again canceled. Despite all the mess with the production in 2011, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark premiered, becoming the most expensive Broadway musical, and even with music from Bono from U2. The production cost $1 million a week.

present tense

The controversial results of the relaunch led Sony to negotiations with Sony, as a result of which the rights to the Spider, although Sony retained, made the Spider part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now the role of Spider-Man is played by actor Tom Holland, who has already tried on the Spider-Man costume in the film “The First Avenger: Civil War” and will return in the upcoming July 6 “Spider-Man. Homecoming".

Not only is the return of the friendly neighbor to the big screen coming soon. In the same year, a new animated series about his adventures starts. And in a year we will see the game “Marvel’s Spider-Man”, a full-length cartoon and a spin-off about Venom.
